Holly Turner-Thakran (British, 1984 - 2021), founder of ARTitude Galería, embodied a deeply human and instinctive approach to art. As Patron of the Arts, Holly viewed colour as a language; capable of carrying emotion, memory and identity beyond form alone. Rooted in her fascination with Latin American culture, she founded ARTitude Galería to bring artists from Colombia and in the region, alongside international perspectives, into the local context, creating a bridge between continents and communities.
Bold, expressive, and unapologetic, her legacy invites a direct and sensory encounter with artistic voices. It asserts presence, offering moments of intensity, intimacy and spontaneity. Together, it forms a vibrant constellation grounded in the present.
At the heart of her work was a quiet, generous devotion to others, to artists finding their own path and to cultures she wished to bring closer together. Holly’s legacy lives on through ARTitude Galería: a space shaped by dialogue and shared experience, and by a belief in the universal human spirit expressed through art, beyond borders, languages and social divisions.
