About Nidhi Samani

Nidhi Samani is a British Indian artist who gracefully navigates her creative journey between Singapore and Taiwan. Originally trained as a fashion designer, Nidhi has successfully transitioned into the realm of visual arts, where she skillfully explores multiple disciplines, including oils, acrylics, charcoal, mixed media, and traditional Chinese brush painting. Her profession as a hypnotherapist further inspires the theme of spiritualism found in her pieces.

Just as fossils hold images inscribed through time, so too do our memories carry the imprints of sensory experiences stored in our subconscious. Through her art, she endeavours to capture these ephemeral moments, utilising a variety of industrial materials to create resonant, fossil-like impressions.

Her current body of work is marked by vibrant representations of nature, encapsulated through the lens of her series “Journeys Beyond” and “Singapore Blooms.” In these series, she dives deep into her inner dimensions, striving to capture tranquil Zen moments on canvas that resonate with her personal experiences. Nidhi draws an intriguing parallel between the creation of fossils and the formation of memories within our minds. Her works are housed in private collections across Australia, Singapore, India, Kenya, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the UK, with some pieces prominently featured at the British High Commissioner’s official residence in Singapore.
