Rafael Fonseca is a Colombian hyper-realist artist born in Bogotá in 1988. From an early age, he showed a strong interest in drawing, exploring a range of techniques and materials, with graphite playing an especially important role in his early development. Later, while studying architecture, he returned more fully to his passion for art and discovered the airbrush as a defining tool within his practice.

His work is distinguished by precision, control, and a highly refined visual language shaped by hyper-realism. Through meticulous technique and a strong command of surface, Fonseca creates images that are both technically striking and visually immediate.
