Juan Fernando Foronda is a Colombian artist from Medellín whose practice is distinguished by his mastery of the mirror neutron painting technique. Recognised for its precision, luminosity, and visual impact, his work has earned him both national and international attention over the course of his career.

In 2009, Foronda was sponsored by Maecenas Manuel Piernas Rios to present his work in Spain and to support the promotion of young Colombian artists across Europe. The strong reception to his work led him to remain in Spain for seven years, a formative period during which he expanded his international presence and developed a substantial body of large-scale work.

During this time, he produced more than 100 murals, exhibited in Spain and internationally. His work has also been commissioned by institutions including the Literary Casino of Lorca in Spain, and a notable mural was exhibited in the library of Humberto Saldarriaga Carmona, the School of Communications and Technology in Antioquia, Colombia.

Foronda’s work is held in prominent private collections in Spain and beyond, reflecting the enduring appeal of his distinctive artistic language.
