Tunku Khalsom Malaysian

Tunku Khalsom is a British-Malaysian contemporary artist and

hospitality art consultant based in Singapore. Trained in

Interior Architecture at the University of Brighton and shaped

by a background in luxury hospitality design, her practice

brings together artistic expression and a sophisticated

understanding of space. Her vibrant mixed-media works

explore transformation, nature and human connection, often

incorporating butterflies as recurring symbols of growth,

resilience and renewal.

Built through expressive layers of paint, ink, metallic elements

and intricate detailing, Khalsom’s compositions evoke a sense

of abundance and movement. Her work reflects an interest in

the emotional potential of colour and material, capturing

moments of beauty while considering how art can create

atmosphere, connection and a deeper sense of place.

Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held in

private collections around the world. Among her major

commissions are nine large-scale artworks created for Park

Hyatt Kuala Lumpur at Merdeka 118, where her practice was

integrated into one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent luxury

hospitality destinations.
