Azure, this oil painting represents the living heart of water in
pure abstraction. It has all the colors that calm the soul, white,
soft turquoise, flowing cerulean, gentle aquamarine, pale mint,
and deeper pockets of cobalt and indigo that feel like hidden
currents. Life in water, always moving, always partial, always
slipping away.
While I painted, I tried to bring a vast and kind space to breathe,
floating weightless, worries melting until only endless, peaceful
flow remained.
